PRACTICE APPROACH

Dr. Gunja specializes in the treatment of anxiety and panic attacks. He feels strongly about an integrated approach to mental and physical health, employing talk therapy and using medication when appropriate. He employs a warm, inviting approach and personalizes treatment, drawing from a variety of disciplines including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), psychiatric medications and natural remedies. Dr. Gunja is also sensitive to the stigma that still exists about mental health treatment among varied cultural and religious beliefs, and works to overcome barriers in a culturally-sensitive approach.

SERVICES

Dr. Gunja specifically tailors treatment to each individual. Initial evaluations are 60 minutes in length, while follow-up sessions are typically 45 minutes in length, depending on need and treatment modality.
